Havana, Cuba: The King of Spain, Felipe VI and his wife, Queen Letizia, will have official talks with Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel on Tuesday at the Palace of the Revolution, Radio Habana Cuba publishes.

The monarchs, who arrived last night at José Martí International Airport, will also participate in the inauguration of the Spain-Cuba photographic exhibition, Contigo en la distancia (With You in the Distance), allegorical to the relations between both nations, in the Great Theater of Havana, Alicia Alonso, where a dance show will be offered in his honor.

According to the program of the visit, before traveling to the eastern province of Santiago de Cuba, next day 14, Felipe VI and Letizia will tour the historic center of the city, and will decorate the historian of Havana, Eusebio Leal, with the Great Cross of the Royal and Distinguished Spanish Order of Carlos III.

They will also visit centers of scientific interest of the capital and participate in other activities in the context of the celebrations for the V Centenary of Havana.

In Santiago de Cuba, they will pay tribute to the Spanish soldiers who fell in the Spanish-Cuban-North American war, among other activities.

For the ambassador of Spain in Cuba, Juan Fernández, this trip brings the message of normalization of relations and recovery of affections, and he described it as positive and necessary.
