Havana, Cuba_ The members of the Federation of Cuban Women (FMC) in the Havana municipality of Plaza de la Revolution analyzed the documents from the Seventh Party Congress, in order to contribute to the development of the nation, defending the principles of gender equality, Radio Havana Cuba publishes.

After a rich debate, the Federation members unanimously approved the projects of the Conceptualization of the Cuban economic and social model of socialist development, and the National Plan for economic and social development until 2030: proposed vision of the nation, axes and strategic sectors.

Lissette Gonzalez, general secretary of the FMC in Havana, stressed that to subject to consultation these documents is a valuable process, a proof of the democratic character of the Revolution.

According to the secretary of the women's organization in the Cuban capital, men and women have the same opportunities, and their points of view on how they want to build the country's future are also respected.

Other controversial issues were those concerning the non-state sector, the importance of involving the youth in the political and ideological work, and to combat the inertia and insensitivity.
