Havana, Cuba_ The 7th International Special Education and Pedagogy Congress is currently underway until June 30 at Havana’s Convention Center, In a context of the support provided by Cuba to over 37,000 special education students, Granma newspaper publishes.
The event was organized to share ideas and experiences on issues related to providing educational services for preschool children with special learning needs, human resource training, professional performance and development, family support, institutional organization, and the use of educational technologies.
The Congress will also include key-note and thematic lectures, symposiums, round table and panel discussions, international courses, and special visits to facilities.
Special education has been prioritized by the Cuban government since the triumph of the Revolution on January 1, 1959, and is renowned for the quality and systemic support it provides children with special needs.
