Havana, Cuba__ Chaired by Army General Raul Castro Ruz, President of the Councils of State and Ministers, began the Seventh Regular Session of the National Assembly of People's Power, in its eighth legislature, Granma newspaper publishes.

Parliament members will review this time the implementation of the plan of the economy in the first half, the estimate for the remainder of the year, and consider adjustments to Law 120, Law on the budget for this 2016, and the report of liquidation of the state budget for 2015.

Also it is going to be presented for approval, the updating of the Guidelines for Economic and Social Policy of the Party and the Revolution, issued in the 7th Party Congress.

Prior to this session, parliamentarians received information from the Ministries of Science, Technology and Environment and Industry and for three days they also discussed different topics in the permanent working commissions, and analyzed the main report to the 7th Party Congress, the speech of the leader of the Revolution Fidel Castro and the first secretary of that organization, Raul Castro during the closing day of the conclave.
