Granma, Cuba_ The brigade of solidarity with Cuba, Juan Rius Rivera from Puerto Rico, celebrated its 25th anniversary in Las Coloradas Beach, scene of the landing of the Granma yacht expedition, and received recognition from the Party, the Government and the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples, in the eastern province of Granma, the digital site of Radio Reloj published.
The president and coordinator of the solidarity organization, Milagros Rivera, described the Cuban Revolution as a hope for the Puerto Ricans, convinced of its continuity.
In defiance of the imperialist blockade, over 700 thousand Puerto Ricans have visited Cuba in the different contingents of Juan Rius Rivera Brigade, whose members are climbing this Monday to the General Headquarters of the Rebel Army in La Plata, Sierra Maestra.
The group will also visit the Demajagua, National Monument in Manzanillo, Granma, where Carlos Manuel de Céspedes began the liberation struggles in the Island against Spanish colonialism.
