Havana, Cuba_ More than 900 healthcare professionals (doctors, dentists and nurses among others) from the University of Medical Sciences of Havana (UCMH), graduated this Wednesday July 20, committed to preserving the well-being of the Cuban people and global community, Radio Habana Cuba publishes.
Roberto Morales Ojeda, Politburo member and also Minister of Public Health congratulated the UCMH on the occasion of its 40th anniversary of being an educational institution affiliated with the Ministry of Public Health and Ministry of Higher Education.
“The best way to graduate is to understand our responsibility to our people and predecessors,” stated the Health Minister.
“For us it is a privilege to join this army of white coats, which aims to continually explore the paths of human well-being,” Claudia Iris Alemañy, most outstanding graduate stated.
“This feeling of joy isn’t for us, but for you, dearest Cuba, for having enabled us today to say that we are Cuban doctors, defenders of the humble and just causes,” stated Mohammed Abu Srom, from Palestine, voted most outstanding international graduate, on behalf of the 124 foreign students from 32 countries who also received their diplomas.
