Havana, Cuba_ Cuban youth will pay tribute today in the name of all the country to its eternal friend, The Venezuelan and Bolivarian Commander Hugo Chavez, Prensa Latina reports.

In the Historical Morro-Cabaña Military Complex in Havana, the Young Communist League (UJC) and other student movements and organizations will celebrate the 62nd birthday of the man who was described by the leader of the Revolution, Fidel Castro, as 'the best friend of Cuba'.

The ceremony will remember the life, achievements and feats of the Commander-Venezuelan President and also that of Fidel Castro, who will be celebrating his 90th birthday on August 13th.

Aleida Guevara, the daughter of Commander Ernesto "Che" Guevara and Doctor Jorge Gonzalez Perez, national director of Teaching at the Ministry of Public Health, will be present at the activity along with the Havana youth. They will evoke the historical friendship of Chavez and Fidel.

Through the cultural project 'Los Amigos del Amigo' (The Friends of the Friend) UJC members will pay tribute to both revolutionaries, considered honorable followers of the ideas and principles of Simon Bolivar and Jose Marti.
