Havana, Cuba_ The Cuban high education is committed to improve the system of continuous professional training, the broad profile, the preparation for employment and the post graduate, according to Rodolfo Alarcón Ortiz, head of that entity explained, Radio Reloj publishes.
According to the minister, three quarters of the examinees come from the pre-university, who passed the entrance exams and cover the annual places plans.
Rene Sanchez Diaz, director in the Ministry of Higher Education, explained that each entrance source to the university has its own plan and this year the competition will be granted by the end of each examination session.
"In the Encounter and Distance Education Courses the exams to enter university move to the first year of the career,” the executive said.
Transformations in the Encounter Courses
About the changes in the Encounter and Distance Education Courses, Sanchez Diaz explained, that having passed the entrance exams from 2014 on, they will be validated until three years later.
When, in a career, the number of applicants exceeds the offer, each university will apply selection criteria.
Students winners of medals in provincial and national competitions will be directly awarded the pedagogical career chosen in the diurnal course.
Also graduates of pedagogical schools and senior high course of two years duration, selected to continue that profile in the regular daily course, will have validated the entrance exams.
