Havana, Cuba_ The President of Mongolia, Tsakhiagiin Elbegdorj expressed the interest of his country in deepening the relations with Cuba when arriving in Cuba on Wednesday night on an official visit.
Upon his arrival to Havana yesterday evening, the Asian nation leader reaffirmed his confidence that this visit will bring the two countries closer and expand traditional relations.
The Head of State was greeted at José Martà International Airport by Deputy Foreign Minister Rogelio Sierra.
During his stay, the dignitary will hold official talks with Army General Raúl Castro, President of the country's Councils of State and Ministers, and participate in a number of activities.
Cuba has had diplomatic relations with Mongolia for 55 years, and was the first Latin America and Caribbean country to establish ties with this nation in 1960, characterized by the friendship and cooperation between both countries.
