Havana, Cuba_ The University of Havana will venue next Monday October 17 of the Wasp against the blockade, an action for children, adolescents and youths to denounce the unjust policies imposed to Cuba by the United States for more than half century under which more than the 70 percent of our population has been born and grown, the digital place of Radio Havana Cuba publishes.

Youth and student and other organizations from the civil society, prepare the initiative with a varied program that not only includes the demand of the elimination of the economic, commercial and financial brutal fence, but also the explanation of the damages that it causes to the country.

Aníbal Barredo Acosta, member of the National Secretariat of the University Student Federation (FEU), explained to Juventud Rebelde newspaper that the activity includes a meeting with Olympic champions, performance of troubadours, presentations of books and audiovisual materials, a pioneers’ camp of pioneer and a flash dance with dozens of people (flash mob).

He pointed out that as part of the day, it will be carried out similar actions in several cities of the world.

The youth leader added that Wi-Fi connection areas will be enabled for the participants to publish messages and pictures of what is taking place, through the social nets. The young people will also leave their artistic impronta through canvases and papelógrafos in favor of the ceasing of the blockade and they expect a meeting of the university students with Josefina Vidal, general director for the United States of the Cuban Foreign Minister.

Barredo Acosta underlined that the denounce activity is closer to the date in which Cuba will present again the Report on the Resolution 70/5 of the General Assembly of the United Nations, titled Necessity of putting an end to the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States of America against Cuba.
