Havana, Cuba__ Army Corps General Leopoldo Cintra Frías, minister of the Revolutionary Armed Forces, FAR, said that the objectives of the Strategic Exercise Bastion 2016 were fulfilled in the country, Radio Reloj publishes.

During his participation in the working session of the Provincial Defense Council in San Jose de las Lajas, western province of Mayabeque, he added that we worked with quality and enthusiasm with the participation of the governing and, command bodies, units, students, women and the population.

At the meeting the group leaders assessed the actions planned for the third stage of the Bastion exercise, such as the operational situation and internal order of the territory.

It was learned that in Mayabeque more than four thousand people and 43 thousand university students participated in the exercise, which concluded this Friday, and it will deliver the 60th Anniversary Medal of the FAR to 937 colleagues.
