La Habana, Cuba_ The Cuban people and military will continue their combative preparation with the beginning today of the national days of the defense in the Caribbean nation, Prensa Latina publishes.

During this Saturday and Sunday, the whole nation will be the scene of actions to increase the capacity of response to disaster situations or an alleged armed aggression to the country.

As it is traditional, these activities take place the weekend after the Bastion strategic exercise, with the purpose of improving the preparation and strengthening the military invulnerability of the nation.

On its first day, this Saturday, there will be maneuvers with the Management and Command Organs at different levels, and on Sunday, the population and structures of the territorial defensive staff will carry out practices, according to the plans for exceptional situations.

The strategic exercise Bastion 2016 culminated yesterday with results described as satisfactory by Army Corps General Leopoldo Cintra, minister of the Revolutionary Armed Forces.
