La Habana_ The Caravan in tribute to the Leader of the Revolution, Fidel Castro, left Camagüey towards the eastern city of Bayamo, Cradle of the Cuban Nationality, Radio Habana Cuba publishes.

The Caravan in tribute to the man who guided the destiny of the Cuban nation since 1959, will arrive in the province where the National Anthem of Cuba was sung for the first time and took place the landing of the expeditionaries of the Granma yacht, guided by Fidel 60 years ago.

In the National Monument City, the funeral procession will border the mythical Plaza de la Revolución, where the first act of victory for Cuban arms was signed in 1868, and Fidel spoke to the people at midnight on January 2, 1959.

Fidel's ashes will pass near the birthplace of Father de la Patria, Carlos Manuel de Céspedes, leader initiator of the Cuban wars for independence and against slavery.

Afterwards, the caravan will spend the night in the Ñico López museum park, former Carlos Manuel de Céspedes headquarter, attacked on July 26, 1953, simultaneously with the Moncada, in Santiago de Cuba.

On the night of this December 2nd and the early hours of Saturday, the Bayames people will carry out a massive vigil and a pilgrimage.

The vigil, with the participation of local artists, will take place in Plaza de la Patria, where Fidel spoke on July 26, 1982, and on the same date in 2006, he gave his last public speech on the occasion of the National Rebellion Day.

After the evening, people will walk several blocks, to pass in front of the park-museum Ñico López, action in which will be participating thousands of persons, especially young people and children, until dawn.

The caravan to Santiago de Cuba will continue the journey on Saturday.
