Cuba_ A trade delegation from Cuba met with officials from the Belorussian Ministries of Industry, Health and Foreign Affairs, as well as businessmen, during a working visit to this country, according to Prensa Latina.
Yamila Fernández del Busto, General Director of Economy of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment was accompanied by directors and specialists of the Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology.
The delegation included the Foreign Trade Business Group, the Foreign Bank of Cuba, the International Bank of Commerce S.A. and the Import Company Transimport.
The delegation of the Caribbean country also addressed bilateral issues with senior leaders and scientists from the Academy of Sciences.
Such meetings were extended to the directors of the Development Bank, the MAZ factories; MTZ, the Minsk Motors Plant, BELAZ; Amkodor, Belagromash, Belshina, Stankogomel, the biotechnology company Nativita.
In addition, the visit included a tour of the drug companies Belmedpreparaty and import and export Belresursy.
The talks took place in an atmosphere of friendship and mutual understanding and were mainly aimed at reviewing the progress of the Clearing Agreement and the conclusion of the first phase of the Commercial Credit granted to Cuba by Belarus.
In addition, the talks defined the main lines of work to be included in the second phase of the credit.
The two sides recognized the possibilities of expanding the cooperation and exchange in different spheres of the economy and health.
