Havana, Cuba_ Cuban Foreign Minister, Bruno Rodriguez, met today with his Palestinian peer, Riad al-Malki, who is on an official visit to Cuba since Friday, Feb. 5th, Prensa Latina reports.

According to sources from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Island, Al-Malki will lay today a wreath at the sculptural complex to honor Cuban National Hero, Jose Marti, at the Revolution Square in this capital.

On Saturday, the foreign minister of the Palestinian National Authority also paid tribute to nationalist leader, Yasser Arafat, who led until his death in 2004 his people's struggle for self-determination.

During that day, Al-Malki also held a meeting with Cuban First Vice President, Miguel Diaz-Canel, in which both leaders reaffirmed the will to continue strengthening bilateral relations and discussed relevant issues of the international agenda.

Cuba reaffirmed its support for the recognition and exercise of the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people and its State, recognized by 130 nations of the world, and formal observer at the United Nations General Assembly.
