San Salvador__ AgroExpo-2017, the largest agricultural fair in El Salvador, proposes today an approach to the Cuban experience in the implementation of public policies that have an impact in crops and producers, Prensa Latina reports.
A delegation of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Island participates in the event that was opened yesterday by the Vice President of the Republic, Oscar Ortiz, who visited the Caribbean stand and knew of its results and projections.
Ortiz highlighted the potential and opportunities of this Central American nation that gradually opens to the world as a destination for investment and recognized the importance of each one's dreams in the greatness of the country.
"Agroexpo projects the potential of our sector and the integration of the region," said the vice president of the fair that for five days will receive public and farmers in the International Center of Fairs and Conventions (CIFCO).
This space provides a platform for the agricultural and agroindustrial sector of the region to promote the commercial exchange of products and services, to insert national enterprises in the competitive Mesoamerican market.
In addition to the exhibitions, the event hosts a round of business, a congress on nutrition, workshops, lectures, specialized talks and a barista championship, starring Salvadoran coffee tastings.
Some 200 exhibitors and delegations from Cuba, Venezuela, Italy, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Mexico and the United States participate in this edition, among others, attracted by a country of fertile soil and spectacular fruits.
"Over the years, agriculture has boosted our economy and created thousands of development opportunities within such an important industry," said Marta Cecibel Lau, president of CIFCO.
