According to Maria del Carmen Orellana, director general of Mintur's Marketing Department, the event, which for the first time reaches eastern Cuba, promotes a significant investment process in the country's fourth tourism pole to receive airlines, tour operators, travel agencies, mass media, hotel and non-hotel companies, transporters, tourism entities and service companies from Cuba and the world.
During a press conference she highlighted the progress achieved in the construction and renovation of hotel and extra-hotel facilities in the city of Holguín, Gibara, the peninsula of Ramón de Antilla, where there are possibilities of having more than 19 000 rooms, and beaches Esmeralda, Guardalavaca and Pesquero, headquarters of the professional exchanges of FITCuba 2017.
