Havana, Cuba_ The Third Plenum of the  Communist Party Central Committee approved the three governing documents for the updating of the economic and social model, which, according to its First Secretary, Army General Raúl Castro Ruz, are the most studied, discussed and re discussed in the history of the Revolution.

The transformations required to foster the development of the country and consolidate the Socialist Revolution are based In the Conceptualization of the Economic and Social Model. This is not conceived as a static instrument, but as a dynamic and perfectible pattern, in constant interaction with practice.

The bases of the National Plan of Economic and Social Development until 2030 present the guiding principles for its elaboration, with a long-term approach that allows the gradual transformation of the country.

Meanwhile, the 274 Guidelines contain the work addresses to continue the process of updating the economic and social model.

The III Plenary also agreed to submit to the consideration of the National Assembly the Conceptualization of the Model and the Guidelines, as well as to inform the deputies about the process of forming the bases of the National Plan of Economic and Social Development until 2030.
