Cuba_ A debate on good practices and lessons learned in processes of environmental improvement and reconversion of old industrial and port areas for public uses, takes place from today until June 15th in this capital city, Prensa Latina reports.
Cuban and foreign experts are participating in the International Conference ‘Environmental and Urban Dialogue between Cities with Port, at the headquarters of the Palace of the Second Cape, and San Gerónimo University College, in Old Havana.
The forum includes three thematic workshops and is sponsored by the Federal Overseas Research and Development Association of the Federal Republic of Germany, the State Working Group for Integrated Environmental Management and Sustainable Development of Havana Bay, and the Office of the City Historian.
According to the program, it is expected to identify future actions for international cooperation that accompany the process of planning and integrated and sustainable management of the bay of Havana and its surroundings.
