Cuba_ Delegates from more than 25 countries, along with ministers, vice ministers, academics and representatives of international organizations, will participate today in the Eleventh International Convention on Environment and Development, which will meet until Friday in the capital’s Convention Center, Cuba Si reports.

Under the motto United and Integrated for a Prosperous and Sustainable Development, the event will host six congresses on Climate Change, Ecosystem Management and Biodiversity, Environmental Education for Sustainable Development, Protected Areas, Environmental and Political Management, Environmental Law and Justice.

There will also be three symposia dedicated to Sustainability Sciences, Disaster Risks and Climate Risks, and Natural History Museums, and the colloquia Sustainable Land Management and Transport and Environment.

Mexico, United States, Colombia, Spain, Argentina, Costa Rica, Chile, Portugal, Peru, the Dominican Republic and Brazil are among the nations attending the event, members of the organizing committee explain.
