The 2nd Central American Meeting for Solidarity with the island of Cuba will start in El Salvador today, with a big march, also expressing its support to the Bolivarian Revolution of Venezuela, Prensa Latina reports.

The participants will also pay homage to national hero Francisco Morazan, revolutionary leaderr Farabundo Marti and deceased priest Oscar Arnulfo Romero, national symbols of El Salvador.

For Fernando Gonzalez, president of the Cuban Institute for Friendship with the Peoples of the World (ICAP) the level of organization and the actions coming from the debates, make people foresee the event will be highly successful.

Gonzalez stated the meeting will ratify the Latin American support to the Venezuelan Bolivarian Revolution and the government of Nicolas Maduro and other political processes that have been attacked by rightwing forces, with the support of the US imperialism.

The event will be in session from July 27 until July 29 to join regional actions of support to Cuba and its Revolution, as well as to exchange criteria on how to face the current Latin American challenges.

The event, which main debates will be in the Center of Studies of El Salvador, will conclude with a resolution on the integration of the peoples of Central America in its effort of solidarity with Cuba.
