Cuba_ Cuban university students re-issue from today until October 15, the route of the number eight column "Ciro Redondo", under the command of Commander Ernesto Guevara, during the invasion campaign against the Batista’s tyranny, Radio Reloj reports.

The troop will take the route from El Jíbaro, an intricate spot of the Sierra Maestra in Granma, to Planta Cantu in Sancti Spíritus, as well as an ascent to the Caballete de Casa, placed where Che established the command post in October of 1958.

In the act of remembrance will participate young people from the provinces of Granma, Las Tunas, Camagüey, Ciego de Ávila and Sancti Spíritus, as well as leaders of the University Student Federation, together with artists, intellectuals, workers and fighters who, by stages, will be relieved along the 612 kilometers.

The tour will also be a tribute to the glorious history of the Cuban people and to that extraordinary military feat, an evocation of the fighting and its protagonists, as well as an occasion for dialogue with residents of those places and veteran fighters of the Revolution.
