Havana, Cuba_ The replica of the statue of José Martí, coming from New York, will be officially unveiled in a solemn ceremony on January 28, 2018, on the occasion of the 165th anniversary of the birth of our National Hero, Radio Reloj publishes.

Regarding the location of the bronze sculpture in 13 de Marzo Park in Old Havana, the historian of the city, Doctor Eusebio Leal Spengler noted that José Martí is facing the sea, the port of Havanacapital, and looking at the nation he knew as few did.

The 5.63 meter statue, conceived by the sculptor Anna Vauhn Hyatt, shows the moment of death in combat of our Apostle in Dos Ríos.

With the location of the statue of the National Hero, a new sculptural piece is added to the set of monuments dedicated to the Apostle in this area of Havana.
