Havana, Cuba_ The high season of Cuban tourism begins today after intense work to compensate the damages caused in the sector by Hurricane Irma, Radio Habana Cuba reports.
The Cuban minister of tourism, Manuel Marrero, considered the optimal conditions of the recreational infrastructure of the archipelago, what facilitates the increase of the arrival of travelers to enjoy vacations.
Precisely, Marrero argued at the International Fair of Havana (Fihav 2017) that the country begins this period with all the destinations in the country operating.
He explained that from today, the Santa MarÃa, Coco and Guillermo keys (center-north), an area very affected by the Hurrycane Irma, begin to operate.
The minister certified that this nation has 67 thousand hotel rooms, of which seven thousand were repaired the previous year, and two thousand were recovered.
In addition to the state establishments for tourism there are two thousand private restaurants called Paladares here, and more than 21 thousand rooms in family accommodation
