Camagüey, Cuba_ Ana Lucia D'Emilio, representative in Cuba of the United Nations Children's Fund, (UNICEF), said the Island has the conditions to a higher use of breastfeeding, and that the breast milk banks will help in its, Radio Reloj publishes.

According to the official one of the tasks defended by UNICEF is the exclusivity of this form of nutrition.

She further explained that Cuban mothers have guarantees as maternity permission for a year to be with their babies, and they are not bothered with commercial advertisements about breast milk substitutes, as in other nations.

"UNICEF’s will is to cooperate with the good public health policy of Cuba, and since the implementation of the breast milk banks that already exist in eight provinces, carry out the community projection on the importance of breastfeeding," Ana Lucia D'Emilio said.
