Havana, Cuba_ NEC Corporation is participating in the 16th Fair Informatica 2016, with the aim to partner with Cuban entities to contribute to the development of the information technology infrastructure of the island, Prensa Latina reports.

NEC intends so far to do business with the Melia hotel chain, providing telephone switchboards and network systems, said Sergio Varela, representative of the Mexican firm, told Prensa Latina.

He also stressed that to achieve this objective, national companies such as the Cuban Society for Telecommunications S.A., Cubatel S.A., strategic partner of the company, will receive NEC high-tech equipment that will be implemented in most of the hotel network of the country.

NEC is a global organization, leading the telecommunications sector in segments such as transportation and networks.

Cubatel S.A. in an integrationist entity in charge of the design and the implementation of communication networks projects in different Cuban institutions.

In the presence of more than 300 exhibitors from 14 countries, the trade fair of the 16th International Convention and Fair, Informatica 2016, becomes a favorable stage to promote initiatives that contribute to the process of computerization of the Cuban society.

Informatica 2016 will run until March 18 at the PABEXPO exhibition center, while the theoretical events will take place in the Conference Center, both are located in the west of Havana.
