Cuba_ The delegates elected in days of genuine democracy, on November 26 and December 3, will integrate since Sunday the municipal assemblies of the People's Power, when those government structures will be constituted for a new mandate of two and a half years, the Granma newspaper publishes.

In accordance with the principles contained in Law No. 72, Electoral Law, the delegates elected to form this body meet in their own right, provided with their respective certificates of election, on the date determined by the State Council. This session, led by the president of the municipal electoral commission, requires the presence of more than half of the total of the delegates that make up the assembly at this level.

Once the municipal assembly of the Popular Power is constituted, its members elect, by secret vote, its president and vice president. The candidacy project to occupy such positions will be composed of two candidates selected among the delegates of the own assembly, and to be elected they must obtain more than 50% of the valid votes cast.
