Havana, Cuba_ The actions and measures implemented in the Ministry of Agriculture in order to respond to the main proposals and complaints of the population and the fight against illegalities stands up among the topics discussed in the Agri-Food Committee of the National Assembly of People's Power, Radio Reloj publishes.
The Minister of the sector, Gustavo RodrÃguez, explained to the deputies that the main illegalities are manifested in the Base Business Units and Cooperatives, entities linked to production.
He noted that another vulnerable link is in the commercialization of agricultural products, production of animal feed, besides violations related to the use of land and the theft and slaughter of cattle.
Rodriguez meant that in recent times a new problem is being faced, that of animals on the road, and although they work intensely against it, the results are not satisfactory.
Opinions of the population in the parliamentary sights
When referring to the timely response to complaints from the population, the Minister of Agriculture, Gustavo RodrÃguez, affirmed that there is a slight progress, but not at the required speed.
He reported that the solution of the agrarian procedures continues to be a pending issue and should be resolved totally in 2018, since it affects the population and directly affects the production of food.
The president of the Agrifood Commission, Bernardo DÃaz, said that in the verification carried out in the companies belonging to the ministry, the commission detected deficiencies in the control measures of fuel.
The deputies agreed that complaints about the need to repair rural roads continue to be constant, although it is a reality that the sector has not the resources required to solve it.
Tourism Bets more for the Caribbean destination
Canada is today the main tourism market in the country, and other traditional markets such as France, Italy and Russia are growing, the minister of the sector said in the Commission of Attention to the Services.
The deputy added that this year has been characterized by requests of new airlines, and charters operations in the keys of the north of Santa Clara.
Also the parliamentarians were updated on the activity of the cruises, which grows by 230 percent, and a continuous favorable behavior is foreseen for next year.
Although at the end of November the investment plan in the sector is being fulfilled, the deputies pointed out among the main difficulties of the investment process, the poor preparation of the works and the delay in the automotive equipment.
