Cienfuegos, Cuba_ The Spanish Company Meliá, together with the Cuban Gran Caribe chain, will start on January 14 the exploitation in minimal conditions of the San Carlos hotel, located in the heritage zone of the city of Cienfuegos, confirmed directors of the tourism sector.

According to Radio Reloj, out of a total of 56 rooms that the hospital will have, after a capital renovation, more than 20 will pay service from that date, informed Yuri Quevedo, director of the Tourism Real Estate Company in that province in the center of Cuba.

"By then the electricity, climate and hot water systems, the units of technological equipment, furniture and decoration will work," he added.

Categorized as four stars, San Carlos will have superior technological conditions, such as automated systems designed to save electricity.
