Havana_ Cuban President Raúl Castro received the high representative of the European Union (EU) for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Federica Mogherini, who made a two-day official visit to Cuba, Prensa Latina reports. 

In a cordial atmosphere, they noted the favorable progress of relations between Cuba and the EU, as well as their prospects for development after the recent provisional entry into force of the Agreement on Political Dialogue and Cooperation. In addition, they exchanged about various topics of international interest.

Accompanying the vice president of the European Commission were the EU ambassador to the Caribbean island, Alberto Navarro, and the cabinet member of the High Representative, European External Action Service, Enrico Petrocelli, according to local press.

On the Cuban side, the Foreign Affairs Ministers, Bruno Rodríguez, and Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment, Rodrigo Malmierca, participated.
