Havana, Cuba_ Ben Rhodes US deputy national security adviser, recognized in Havana that the blockade imposed on Cuba is the main obstacle in the process of normalization of the bilateral relations, Radio Reloj publishes.

The main adviser to President Barack Obama on foreign policy said the current US administration is convinced that this unilateral action should be eliminated.

Also, Rhodes referred to the ongoing work that requires putting into practice the package of measures implemented by Obama’s administration, which includes the release of the use of the dollar in Cuban international transactions.

The official, who is accompanying President Obama on his visit to Cuba, said that lifting the embargo imposed on the Cuban people by his nation is essential for the restoration of relations between both countries.
