Mayabeque, Cuba_ Marco Ginebra Brito, a student of Clodomira Acosta elementary school in Güines, took the first position in the friendly chess tournament.  

According to information from the teachers Hipólito Barrios and Raúl Pérez, the student demonstrated his knowledge by achieving five points out of five possible. He played three times with black pieces and two with the whites.

From the educational center, Antonio Briones Montoto, the student Alain Daviel Laborit obtained the second place, with three and a half points to equal María Carla Báez, from Manuel Ascunce Domenech school, located in the third position by the tiebreaker system.

The fourth place was occupied by Andrés Ravelo also from the mixed center Manuel Ascunce with three units. The fifth step was reached by the little girl of only seven years old, Lorena Acosta Sardiñas, from the Antonio Briones Montoto institution.

The contest takes place on the last Saturday of every month at the Carlos Manuel de Céspedes Academy, in Güines, in addition besides making friendly meetings with other municipalities of Mayabeque.
