Mayabeque, Cuba_ Revelaciones (Revelations), is the title of the personal exhibition of photographer Yovanis González Elizalde, which will open at the Provincial Center for Visual Arts Aristides Fernandez, former Güines' Art Gallery, this Thursday, at 3:00 in the afternoon.
According to the promoter of the cultural institution, Rosalà Borges, the sample of photos seeks a different visualization of the landscape, understood as the space where the natural converges with the tangible creation, made by the human being and the spirit of the environment where it moves.
The exhibition discovers the transcendent or tiny, palpable or ungraspable trace, the imprint of other times and the corrosive passage of time. It is evidence of continuity, perennial movement of zones and environments to perpetuate in memory.
The artist goes through places with strong cultural roots and a story that often rests tattooed, in the unconscious gaze of the people.
