Mayabeque, Cuba_ The athlete from Mayabeque, Lianna de la Caridad Montero will seek the ticket to the Central American and Caribbean Games of Barranquilla, Colombia, in the 57 kilograms, during the qualifying tournament, scheduled from the 22nd to the 24th next in Havana.  

Under the direction of Filiberto Delgado, the female representation is commanded by Yudaris Sánchez, who is accompanied by Yusnelis Guzmán, Lilianet Duane, Yakelín Stornell and Mabelkis Capote.

For its part, the men's wrestling team, led by Julio Mendieta, is headed by the world medalists, Alejandro Valdés and Reineris Salas and the monarch in the sub-23 category, Reineris Andreus.

Franklyn Maren, Yurieski Torreblanca and Yudenis Alpajón joined them.

The qualifying tournament, on the way to Barranquilla, will begin next Thursday 22nd, at Havana’s Sport City and will conclude on Saturday 24th. The first seven in each weight division will achieve the regional quota.
