Mayabeque, Cuba_ The Basketball Cup, pioneer category, will be held from February 26 to March 3, in the municipality of Santa Cruz del Norte, according to a source from the Provincial Direction of Sports, in Mayabeque.

For the contest were confirmed the presence of teams of both sexes from Artemisa, Pinar del Rio, Isla de la Juventud, Havana, Matanzas and Mayabeque, other provinces, including Villa Clara, could join the group.

The teams of the demarcation will be chosen from a pre-selection that will include the best players of the Provincial Championship recently finished in the fields of the Nelson Fernández Sports Complex in San José de las Lajas.

In the competition, Madruga, Melena del Sur and Bejucal made the one, two and three in the female branch. Meanwhile, for the boys, Santa Cruz del Norte, Nueva Paz and Quivicán shared the podium in that order.
