Mayabeque, Cuba_ The athlete from Batabanó, Osvel David Caballero, in the 56 kilograms, will participate in the Czech contest to be held from May 20 to 26, as a rehearsal before the Olympic Games in Tokyo.

In 2018 Osvel became the first boxing monarch in his division and best athlete of Mayabeque. He signed the title of the 57th edition of the Playa Girón National  Tournament, played at the Rafael Fortún Multipurpose Hall, in Camagüey, where he won his four matches, including the one for the crown against the fierce left-hander Frank Zaldívar from Santiago de Cuba, four to one.

That result deserved his inclusion in the Domadores team that attended China for the final poster of the World League, where he contributed with his triumph to the conquest by Cuba of the place of honor.

He is a fighter with increasing possibilities, with his discipline and technique he has managed to be included among the best of his division, on the Island, and he is a strong candidate to join the team to upcoming international events.
Yosbany Veitía, Andy Cruz, Ronniel Iglesias, Arlen López, Julio Cesar La Cruz, Erislandy Savón and Dainier Peró will accompany Osvel, as the main fighters in the eight divisions called. (LHS)
