San José de las Lajas, Mayabeque_ The citizens of San Jose de las Lajas, will participate this November 18 in Maracuba, a project of the Cuban sports movement that mobilizes a large number of people at the same time, across the the country , according to Radio Camoa website.

Runners from the capital of Mayabeque, divided into 8 categories, will be able to complete the circuit of approximately one kilometer: walking, running, trotting, on roller skates or wheelchairs.

The start, set for 9 in the morning, will be on the 40 Street, and the race will continue through the avenues 33, 43 and 48 to resume the street where it started and reach the finish line in front of the Nelson Fernandez Sports Volunteer Complex of the province.

After the award ceremony of the race, a political - sport - cultural gala will be held, in greeting to the Day of Physical Culture, Sports and Recreation. In the activity, a multimedia with moments of Fidel in the Sports will be screened, as well as with repentistas, dance and singing soloists.

The medal Rafael María de Mendive will be given to workers with 20 and 25 years of uninterrupted work in that sector and as a culmination there will be exhibitions of different sports programs and Taichí.
