Mayabeque, Cuba_ The Club Corre por la vida from Mayabeque is ready to participate in the thirty-first edition of the race Marabana, scheduled for this Sunday 19, Day of the Physical Culture and Sport.

According to Manuel Álvarez Valdivia, an athletics technician who attends disabled people, the youngest province in the country will participate with near 120 walkers, a record number for these events, who will compete in the 10, 21 and 42 kilometers.

This time the municipalities of Güines and San José de las Lajas exceed the number of participants in previous years, with more than 60 entries.

Among the athletes that will fight for prizes are Elvis Sardiñas, affiliated with the National Association of the Blind and Visually Impaired (ANCI) and Javier Castro of the National Association for the Deaf of Hard of Hearing (ANSOC), who will compete in the marathon.

The Medical Sciences Faculty of this demarcation will attend the sporting event with 63 students who will cover the distance of 10 kilometers.
