Mayabeque, Cuba_ The award ceremony of the Mina Perez provincial contest, coordinated by the Cuban Association of Physical-Motor Limits (ACLIFIM), will take place this Saturday at the theater of the municipal headquarters of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) in Santa Cruz del Norte.  

According to Lázara Cisneros, director of the Culture House of that municipality, 24 contestants participated in literature, in the modalities of poetry and narrative.

Lázara added that 13 works in painting and drawing are also competing in visual arts, while 15 do it with handiworks.

The municipalities participating in the contest are San José de las Lajas, Quivicán, Jaruco, Bejucal, Madruga, Batabanó and Santa Cruz del Norte, as well as the province of Matanzas.

The Mina Perez provincial contest is dedicated to the Santa Cruz artist who left an important pictorial work.

This event has an annual frequency and is structured to compete in Visual Arts, Crafts, Drawing and Literature in its modalities of novel, poetry, story, essay and decima.
