Mayabeque, Cuba_ The First National Scientific Meeting on Environmental Education and Sustainable Development 2016, will meet on May 26 and 27 at Fructuoso Rodríguez Pérez Agrarian University of Havana.
As Dr. Hildeliza Martínez Pérez explained, the event aims to share the results of experience and researches carried out on the central theme.
"The participants will also discussed particularly on environmental education oriented towards climate change, prevention and reduction of risk disaster, care of the heritage and culture of peace”, the specialist added.
Other topics are related to human rights, agriculture and energy education, sustainable agriculture, agro-ecology, food safety and health, linked to the environment as a holistic approach.
Martinez Perez specified that in this first meeting, the works will be focused on local development, management and rational use of natural resources, protection of biodiversity and the ecosystem in urban spaces and environmental pollution.
Educators, researchers, lawyers and creators are going to participate in the event with the presentation of papers, teaching aids, audiovisual products, application of technology, posters, photographs and other modalities such as digital art and visual arts.
