Mayabeque, Cuba_ The province reached the first place in the National Table Tennis Cup for people with disabilities held at Remedios, Villa Clara.

Three athletes from the demarcation participated in the contest. Carlos Gabriel Diaz Leyva from the capital of Maybeque participated and won a golden and a silver medal in the category of wheelchair sitting and Jorge Felix Rodriguez Hidalgo from Guines, with a silver medal in the stationary mode.

According to Regla Armenteros, vice president of social integration of sport and recreation in the Association of Physically and Motor Limited at the demarcation explained that the meeting was also attended by athletes from Matanzas, Pinar del Rio, Havana and Artemisa.
