Mayabeque, Cuba_ An exchange meeting to evaluate the improvement process of the People’s Power in this demarcation took place in San Jose de las Lajas with the participation of Esteban Lazo, president of the Cuban Parliament, Granma newspaper publishes.
The agenda gave priority to the analysis of the achievements and difficulties of the economy and its correspondence with the population’s satisfactions.
“This is a territory characterized by its agricultural, industrial and scientific capacity, that is carrying out management structures between the Assembly, the Administration Council and the entities”, the also member of the Political Buro of the Party said.
Lazo and the other participants in the exchange reflected on the application of the delimitation of functions in the province and the municipalities. “We have to advance more in the control and inspection of the economic aspects and the services to raise our answer to the electors, to get closer to the base”, he said.
He added that we should use with more intelligence the potential of the resources present in the province and this include the cadre, who in Lazo’s point of view, must be a steady creator in any task.
In 2015 only two enterprises of the territory close with loss: Azcuba and the agriculture in Nueva Paz, but the rest of the 55 more important industries of Mayabeque, improve their main economic and financial indicators.
It was known also about the gradual solutions to the problems of the hydraulic resources, mainly those affecting the water supply to the population.
In other respect, the province got a good qualification in the evaluation carried out to the construction materials program, some days ago.
The campaign against the mosquito was included in the analysis, aspect that still demands a higher and effective action from the factors involved, which involve the neighbors, for reducing the infestation indicator.
Juan Miguel García Diaz, member of the Central Committee of the Party and its first secretary in the province, also attended the meeting as well as executives of the Provincial Assembly, the Administration Council and officials from the municipalities and different enterprises.
