Mayabeque, Cuba_ The coordinating group in Mayabeque of the Educa a tu hijo program visited the Diagnosis and Orientation Center (CDO) of Nueva Paz.
The provincial inspection verified the effectiveness of the work carried out by the institution to this moment. Several indicators like the monitoring of children from early childhood and the work of professionals with pregnant women diagnosed with risk factors are among those evaluated.
The CDO’s psychometrist Raisel Pérez Olano highlights the results in the territory in order to guarantee the care for these children.
The Educa tu hijo Program is the product of a research carried out in the 70s by the Central Institute of Pedagogical Sciences, to offer alternatives to children in rural and mountainous areas who had no access to the children's daycare centers.
