Mayabeque, Cuba_ The art instructor Eliober Uriarte Cabrera, from Mayabeque, will compete in the 28th edition of the Olga Alonso Theater Festival in the modality of scenic narrator with the work El serio soy yo dedicated to peasant traditions.
The event will take place from February 28 to March 4, in the hillside of the municipality of Fomento, according to the Escambray Newspaper.
Groups from 12 Cuban provinces will participate in the annual meeting sponsored by the Provincial Council of Houses of Culture in Sancti Spíritus.
Uriarte Cabrera is founder and general coordinator of the children's theater group Zumbidos Corazoneros, of Madruga, and on February 4 he won the prize for oral narration at the Eduardo Saborí National Peasant Music Contest with the work La abogalina del escritor escritor Juan Manuel Reyes.
