Mayabeque, Cuba_ Youth of Mayabeque recalled today the 61st anniversary of the assaults on the Presidential Palace and Radio Reloj, events in which José Antonio Echevarría called the people to the general strike and the unit for the armed struggle. 

The new generation reissued the events as a sign of the continuity of the ideals of the revolutionary leader as stated in his speech, the president of the University Student Federation of the Faculty of Medical Sciences of Mayabeque, Maria Karla Crespo Padilla.

Outstanding students in the fulfillment of diverse missions and tasks received the card that accredits them as militants of the Young Communists League.

In the act, members of the Association of Combatants of the Cuban Revolution were decorated with the 60th Anniversary medal of the FAR, among them, Pedro Hernández Suárez who ratified the commitment with Fidel and the historical direction of the country.

The homage was presided over by Yanina de la Nuez Aclich, member of the Provincial Buro of the PCC, Andrés Nivaldo Reyes, first secretary of the political organization in Güines and Hamlet Valdés León, first secretary of the Young Communists League in Mayabeque.
