Mayabeque, Cuba_ The Municipal Direction of Physical Planning in Madruga gives priority this year to the work of locating feasible land for the construction of houses, as part of the efforts to address one of the main social problems and to grow in the housing fund with comfortable buildings . 

The measure benefited 62 families in 2017 and has a great impact. Now there are more than 200 requests to build, which must be approved by the Board of Directors, according to the legal provisions in force.

These fixed spaces, called development areas, are coordinated in correspondence with the policy of the country of territorial and urban reorganization, taking into account its dimension and conditioning, from the creation of gardens, green areas, in search of well-being, image and harmony.

The areas of greatest opportunity due to their size include, in addition to new homes, other works such as doctors' offices, warehouses, garages as well as points of sale to facilitate the access of neighbors to these services.

The design is carried out by the architects of the community together with the Physical Planning Directorate and the projects are to be executed in the short, medium and long term.

Giving collective use to all the land available from feasibility studies, the free sale of construction materials, together with the granting of bank loans and state subsidies to natural persons, makes it easier for many families to improve their quality of life.
