Mayabeque, Cuba_ Young people belonging to the Casa de la Décima of Mayabeque will represent the province in the Peasant Music Festival that will take place in Matanzas, from March 23 to 25. 

According to Madelén Muñoz, specialist of the institution, the poets Ana Mary Gil, Maira de la Caridad Cruz, Yordanis Oliva, Yosnier Perdomo and Ernestico Guerra will compete in the event.

"The event will honor the 90th anniversary of the birth of Celina González, the declaration of the Punto Cubanot as Cultural Heritage of Humanity, and a group of female founders of that gender", Madelén added.

This event has its origins in the Meetings of Women Decimistas, that carries out the Casa Naborí, in the province of Matanzas, since 1990.

The Festival is sponsored by the Direction of Culture, the Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba (UNEAC), the Music Company Rafael Somavilla, the Heritage Center, and the National Association of Small Farmers (ANAP).
