Mayabeque, Cuba_ San Jose de las Lajas continues betting on the transformation of its infrastructure, based on the construction of social projects, some initiated in the past calendar. 

In that case, there is the Juan Vitalio Acuña Home for the Elderly, where the remodeling of the women's dormitory began a year ago, but the instability in the work force influences its completion, according toJosé Palay Zamora, head of service in the institution.

Another work of 2017 in execution is that of the pool area at Nelson Fernández Sports Complex, in San José de las Lajas, which shows significant advances.

Rodelmis Betancourt, director of the Constructive Maintenance Base Business Unit of the municipality, stressed that the idea is to conclude all the works as soon as possible and ensure the care of repairs.

An action contemplated in the project is the creation of an entrance on 29th Street for students and teachers of Camilo Cienfuegos Primary School.
