Mayabeque, Cuba_ Güines was the first municipality of Mayabeque to carry out the FITT CUBA competition, which stands for Strength, Intensity and Work.
This contest enriches sports and physical culture programs with the aim of demonstrating the skills and abilities acquired during Physical Education classes in the educational centers of the High School.
The event involved students between 14 and 17 years old, in teams consisting of 10 young people, four in each sex, and two substitutes.
According to Ibrahim González, the competition included combined exercises, such as sit-ups, pendulum, plates with changes and agility of three-three.
The first activity took place in the Central Park of the locality with the teams of Juan Borrell Preuniversity, the professional technical teaching centers Antonio Guiteras Holmes, Friendship Cuba Nicaragua and students of the area of Medical Sciences Technology.
The first place among the girls was won by Asnaildys Castellanos from the Antonio Guiteras center with 44 points, followed by Samira Hernández Salgado, from the pre-Juan Borrell with 37 points and tied with 36 points, Lisett de Armas Martínez, from Medical Sciences and Diosanis Tejeda from Antonio Guiteras
By teams the first three places corresponded to the Antonio Guiteras team with 310 points, the pre-university Juan Borrell with 306 and Cuba Nicaragua with 285.
