Mayabeque, Cuba_ A group of 291 internationalist fighters belonging to the municipality of Madruga will receive the commemorative 60th Anniversary Medal of the Revolutionary Armed Forces (FAR).

The recognition will begin from April 4 in student and work centers, according to the schedule of the Association of Combatants of the Cuban Revolution (ACRC) aimed at strengthening patriotic-military education and greet the anniversaries 56 and 57 of the Young Communists League  (UJC) and the Organization of José Martí Pioneers (OPJM), respectively.

The 60th Anniversary Medal of the FAR will be presented posthumously to the relatives of eight internationalist combatants of Madruga. The tributes will also be held in Popular Councils and historical places.

The President of the ACRC in the locality, Guillermo Calzadilla Valdés, highlighted the importance of these actions at the time that we live a process of consolidation of the principles of the Cuban Revolution
